November is here as the pumpkins of Halloween begin to slowly turn all soft and mushy by the trash bin…. the leaves have all fallen, clogging the streets and covering the few scraps of toilet paper left dangling from the trees. By now you are all probably wondering what’s been up with me since Halloween eve….
No, no, no, I didn’t turn into a pumpkin myself at the mystic stroke of midnight, but I did mean to get back sooner with the details of my night of wild partying….. unfortunately…. something snuck up and got me but good. Seems there was a little something extra in my goodie bag that Halloween evening…..

Well, Gentle Readers, it’s been a busy, busy month, but tonight’s the payoff…. Halloween is finally here at last!! Yep…. time for yours truly to let her hair down and enjoy an evening of fun and frolics…. and play dress up too! (Hehehe, this is really the only holiday where a middle aged woman can still get away with dressing in a silly costume and not be though of as utterly insane….)
If fact…. as I sit here and type this entry, I’ve the unique experience of doing it while totally a lovely shade of green from head to toe…. Yes, for one evening only, your Favorite Catgirl Princess is gonna be “Magical Orion Slave Girl Princess Neko”…. and I’m wiggling my lil’ green toes in fuzzy bathroom slippers huddled in my bathrobe while I wait for Carolyn to get back from the store and some last minute shopping… then it’s off for a naughty evening of “Trick or Treating” and a costume party at a local Pub where we Carolyn and I will strut our stuff and see what kinda mischief two women can get up to while in disguise…. Hehehe!!
Anyway… I’ve had fun trying to meet my “Halloween Review-athon” goal…. and even though I fell a bit short, it’s been nice to rouse myself into a more active effort here at the ol’ Litterbox than I been able to maintain in quite some time. (Now I just have to keep that momentum going….. Crossin’ my lil’ paws for luck!!)

Well… the days get shorter, and the month creeps slowly to an end as we move into the final week of our Halloween festivities here at the ol’ Litterbox, so it’s time to see where we stand….. Seems all your Favorite Catgirl has managed to get done are 12 reviews so far, which makes this a banner month here, but falls well short of our lofty goal of 31. D’ohhhh!!
I’m gonna be a busy, busy, busy lady this week, but not to fear, I’ll try like heck to squeeze a couple more goodies in for you all, Gentle Readers, so fear not. After all, what’s Halloween without a few sweet treats to savor and enjoy?
Speaking of treats…. I have just about finished playing “wardrobe mistress” and pulled together costumes for Carolyn and me for the party this Saturday night. We’re definitely going with a “Star Trek” theme….. but not just any “Star Trek” costumes will do…. Oh, no, no, no!! No boring costumes for us! I’ve had a wicked lil’ inspiration and come up with a sexy combo sure to win us that Best Costume prize. It surprises me just how much fun I’ve had working on this….. I guess the ol’ cosplay spirit hasn’t left me after all, despite the years I’ve been away from it.
So what did I come up with? Well….. if ya wanna know that I’m sure you’ll want to “Read On” and find out!!
The creepy month of October is slipping by soooo quickly!! As is painfully evident, your Favorite Catgirl has fallen waaaay behind her goal of reaching an astounding 31 reviews for the month….. life it seems wants it to be that way I guess. Sigh….
On the plus side…. I’ve been a nosy lil’ Kitten, poking through old boxes and trying to work up some costume ideas for Carolyn and myself. I really want to wow people at the masquerade party Halloween evening. There’s a prize for the best theme costume for couples so I’m hoping we can make a good showing. Luckily for me, I’ve tons of old cosplay things still left over from my college days, and even luckier, I’m still the exact same size I was waaaay back then so they all still fit…. Yay me!! Now I just need to find some stuff for my sweetie, Carolyn…… Thank goodness for the Internet and 2 day guaranteed shipping…. Hehehe!!
I’m torn at the moment between a “Brides of Dracula” idea and a “Classic Star Trek” thingee. Each of these would let both of us dress up in some truly cute and sexy outfits, never a bad thing from the viewpoint of winning a contest. Hmmmmm? Decisions… decisions.
Review wise…. I’m going to get a couple more done today if I can, and we’ll see if I can at least make a reasonable showing for the month. Expect the Philippine ghost story “Dalaw” late this afternoon for certain….

It’s Week 2 of our month long “Movie Review Marathon” celebrating all things spooky and scary, and time to see how I’m doing here at the ol’ Litterbox.
Well… we’ve got 7 reviews up, which means we’re a little behind but nothing that some diligent work can’t make right by the end of the month…. I just have to buckle down on my days off and get cracking.
Yep…. it’s been a busy week for this lil’ Catgirl. But there is a nice bonus coming up later in the month…. 2 Halloween Parties that I’ve already been invited to!! One at the house of Carolyn’s Department Head from the college, and another one on Halloween itself….. this one an honest to goodness costume party!! Yay!! I’m already sooo excited about the chance to “play dress-up” and….. I’m also happy that Carolyn has decided to be a sport and go to that one with me…. in costume too!!! It’ll be fun coming up with some sort of Theme costumes for us both…. Gosh, I’m such a silly lil’ dweeb about this sort of thing… Hehehehe!!
Hopefully this week will have me adding the following reviews: From Indonesia, “Kuntilanak Kamar Mayat”, from Taiwan, “Invitation Only”, from India, “Raksha”, Thailand’s “Opapatika”, and…. another “Lil’ Kitten Classics” review for “Cat People”!!
Whew!! Looks like my DVD player is going to get a real workout!! If there is time in my hectic schedule, I’ll throw in a couple more just to hopefully let me pull ahead a bit…. (or at least get back even, Hehehehe!!) Wish me luck, o’ Gentle Readers!
Yep…. the days are getting definitely chilly…. the nights even more so. Crunchy leaves are collecting everywhere as the trees all go through a spasm of color before shedding for the coming winter months. Here at my lil’ apartment, sweaters have come out of storage and warm fuzzy blankets adorn my bed to keep me and Carolyn all snuggly and warm on these chilly evenings. You know that can of course mean only one thing….. Halloween is coming!! Yay!!
Halloween has to be your Favorite Catgirl Princess’s favorite holiday. What other seasonal festival combines candy and cosplay!! (Well…. maybe Valentines Day, but I never feel brave enough to wear those sorts of costumes out in public… Hehehehe!!!) To put us in the holiday mood…. Anyhoo… as is my usually tradition, it’s time for “Neko’s Marathon Halloween Movie Review-athon”… a month long celebration of all things spooky movie wise. I’m gonna try to cram in as many new reviews as is possible as my lil’ way to spread the Holiday cheer. To get us started…. I’m giving a look at the Thai horror chiller “Meat Grinder”…. sort of “Sweeney Todd Goes to Thailand”…..

I know it’s been a while, but Fall is upon us…. the nights are getting chilly, the days shorter, and our local colleges are back in session for the new school semester. That means of course that I’m extra busy at the restaurant these days, and Carolyn is busy settling into her new job at one of the colleges as well….
It’s a wonder either of us has any spare time at all lately….. But there are some new things going on for me, and if ya wanna know what they are, then you know it’s time to “Read On”!!
Another week passes… and we slide into another whole month. Where does the time go? (Personally I blame evil time eating Faeries…. but that’s just this crazy paranoid and possibly delusional Catgirl) It’s been a busy week for me as always, but this particular one was a virtual roller coaster of ups and downs, highs and lows….

Summer is just moving right along, and it’s time to catch you all up to date on exactly what’s been going on with me. Not that I live an exciting life or anything, but the laws of Probability suggest that there are probably some of you out there that find my goofy life interesting.
By now… you are probably wondering what the heck happened on the 4th of July…. Did Carolyn and I go to the party? Is our relationship common knowledge now? ……Or did I just “chicken out” after all. You know what comes next…. It’s time to “Read On”!!
It’s officially summer now, as the steamy temperatures at the restaurant can most definitely illustrate should this lil’ Catgirl somehow manage to forget that. I have to apologize for having let the warm weather distract me from the Litterbox somewhat…. it’s just tooo darn easy these wonderfully warm days to want to get outside now instead of cooping myself up at the computer or watching movies….
